The existing attorney for the district court of the eastern district of California is Lawrence G. Brown. He is serving the post since January 5, 2009. Like the district court of the central district, that of the eastern district also appeals to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. These cases exclude patent claims and claims against the US government that come under the Tucker Act.
