Eleventh Circuit District Courts

The Eleventh Circuit District Courts was established in the year 1981, by the Congress. This was assigned to be under the jurisdiction of the United States court of appeals. The Eleventh Circuit District Courts has been empowered to preside over all cases originating in the counties and districts of the three states such as Alabama, Georgia and Florida. The conglomerate of circuit courts includes nine different district courts which is located in each of the states are divided into 3 primary districts such as northern, middle and southern.

District Courts in Alabama have a restricted jurisdiction over a few types of criminal and civil court cases. The district court handles criminal cases which primarily include different types of misdemeanors, some kinds of violation pertaining to ordinance, the first hearings of the felony cases, any pleas for guilty for felony cases which does not include any kind of death sentence.
